The Wensleydale Show is a vibrant agricultural show based near Leyburn in Lower Wensleydale, North Yorkshire.
The show has a large number of competitive events throughout the day which include livestock such as sheep, cattle, horses, plus horticultural and handicraft classes. Wensleydale sheep and dry stone walling competitions reflect the local aspect of the show whilst local brass bands and other demonstrations make for some great entertainment.
There are lots around 100 trade stalls at the annual event where local crafts can be bought as well as a huge flower and vegetable show for which judging takes place. Hounds and beagles can be seen and stroked in the main ring, something that has become popular with children over the years and the children’s fun fair, bouncy castle & face painting will keep them entertained all day.
Vintage tractors, vintage cars and vintage steam machines are on display around the parameter of the field and ponies, heavy horses & carriage driving are also on display during a fun filled day. Why not come and join in on the 29th August 2009 from 10am – 5:30pm.
